Sending Cheers to the Elderly at Christmas - Outside School Service

As Christmas is approaching, it is time to show love and care not just to our friends and relatives but also to the elderly living in the elderly homes in the neighborhood. In late November and early December, the Student Guidance Team executives and helpers with participants from different forms drew Christmas cards using Pastel Nagomi Art, prepared towel cupcakes and packed the scarves and neck cushions donated by YWCA into beautifully designed Christmas bags. Eighty sets of Christmas gifts were sent to Shek Wai Kok Shek Ho Elderly Care Centre (石圍角石荷護老中心) on 10 December 2021.

The threat of the pandemic does not stop us from showing care to the community. Thanks to the social workers for making the online visits possible. On 17th and 21st December, 2021, the participants met the elderly online, chatting, singing Christmas carols and playing guessing games with them to create a festive atmosphere and happy moments. Both the elderly and the participants enjoyed the time together online.
