53rd Speech Day
2025-12-13

The 53rd Speech Day of SKH Lam Woo Memorial Secondary School took place on Saturday, 13th December, 2025 in the school hall. It is our great honour to have Professor Dennis Lo, Vice-Chancellor of the Chinese University of Hong Kong, to officiate at the ceremony. It began with the raising of the national flag and singing the national anthem, followed by a minute of silence to commemorate the National Memorial Day for the Victims of the Nanjing Massacre and to mourn for the victims of the fire accident in Tai Po.

After a prayer led by Reverend Wu Wai-ho, Dr. Alice Yuk, the school's supervisor, shared words of encouragement, urging graduates to express gratitude to God, their parents, teachers, and peers for their unwavering support. During the introduction of Professor Lo, Dr. Yuk praised his remarkable medical contributions and inspired graduates to draw lessons from his commitment to research that benefits society.

Professor Lo addressed the graduates, commending their achievements while emphasising the importance of gratitude and learning from adversity. He encouraged them to pursue excellence and embrace challenges with an open mind.

Principal Cheng then delivered the school affairs report, celebrating the school's 55th anniversary and highlighting student achievements in various fields. Graduates excelled in the 2025 Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Examination, with 93% gaining admission to local universities.

In closing, the graduates expressed sincere thanks to their supporters, and the ceremony concluded with performances by the school's Symphonic Band and Mixed Voice Choir, followed by everyone singing the school hymn, marking a successful event.
