The Law Society’s Teen Talk 2025: ‘Deepening Legal Cooperation, Youth Shaping Tomorrow’ GBA Study Tour
On July 5-6, 2025, The Law Society of Hong Kong organized an educational study tour to the Greater Bay Area, titled “Deepening Legal Cooperation, Youth Shaping Tomorrow”. Two of our students, Kwok Chi Yin and Lo I Yan from class 4E (24-25), participated in this unique opportunity alongside over 60 secondary students from Hong Kong and more than 20 students from Shenzhen.
The GBA tour served as an enriching platform for young minds to explore and understand the vital role of the rule of law within the Greater Bay Area (GBA). With the region's dynamic legal landscape, the tour aimed to equip students with insights that would not only enhance their understanding of legal principles but also inspire them to actively engage in discussions about the future of law and cooperation across borders.
Led by dedicated volunteer solicitors from The Law Society of Hong Kong, participants were immersed in a series of visits, presentations, and discussions conducted in English. These sessions provided valuable perspectives on the legal framework and challenges faced in the GBA, fostering a deeper appreciation for the importance of legal cooperation among the youth.
The tour also encouraged cross-border understanding and collaboration among elite students from Hong Kong and Shenzhen. By engaging in dialogue and shared experiences, the students built connections that transcended geographical boundaries.
Overall, the GBA Study Tour by The Law Society of Hong Kong offered a valuable opportunity for our students to learn more about the legal setting in GBA as well as to make connections with other elite students. The school is grateful for the valuable opportunity for our students, and hopefully more events of the similar nature could be organised in the future.
