The 55^th Anniversary Concert of SKHLWMSS was held successfully at Hong Kong Cultural Centre on 18 July. It’s one of the most pleasant anniversary events which showcased the immense effort and contributions of all those involved, including the music teacher, Mr. Lee and students.

The concert included pieces from oriental to western composers such as Chan Kai-young, Ernest Hui, Franz Lehar, and Kim Andre Arnesen, to name a few. All these were played by various groups such as the symphonic band, orchestra, the male, female, mixed, alumni, chamber choirs, instrumental ensembles such as clarinet, huqin and saxophone. Some groups such as the School Orchestra and Symphonic Band had won the Gold Award at the 2024 Hong Kong Youth Music interflows. Some other groups were also won various awards in other music competitions. All the performances showed great musicianship and produced wonderful and mesmerizing music for the audience.

The night culminated in a breathtaking finale, Magnificat by Z. Randall Stroope, which is one of eight most ancient hymns. All performers of the night, over 300 of them, were involved. Together they presented a music so grand that served as a sublime offering to God, as an expression of gratitude for His continuous caring and leading of the school, and struck a perfect note in everyone who participated in the event. The anniversary concert would not have been possible without the generous contributions of time and talent from our backstage helpers, tutors, teachers, parents, and alumni.

五十五周年校慶音樂會
本校於七月十八日假香港文化中心音樂廳舉行五十五周年校慶音樂會，由管樂團丶管弦樂團丶中樂團丶敲擊樂小組丶單簧管小組丶胡琴小組丶色士風小組及各合唱團，為來賓送上風格殊異、旋律雋永的樂曲。廳內絲竹悠揚，座中掌聲如潮。最後由音樂部的舊雨新知為大家壓軸獻唱＂Magnificat ＂（尊主頌），滿座嘉賓沉酣其中，音樂會臻於圓滿，餘韻悠長。本次校慶音樂會的成功歸功於後台幫手、導師、教師、家長和校友的寶貴貢獻，他們的共同努力，創造了熠熠生輝的一夜。
