Introduction

  1. WEBSAMS is a web-based School Administration Management System provided and supported by the EMB. Through this system, the school communicates and exchanges information with the EMB. Soft copies such as the school calendar, class details, students' personal information amendments, their public examinations applications are sent to the EMB. Examination results from the HKEA, staff pay lists from the Finance Division and certain circulars and letters from the EMB are sent to school. This electronic data transfer not only saves time and manpower, it helps to keep such information accurate and up to date.
  2. WEBSAMS also provides an integrated platform to manage information of students, teaching staffs and the school. Attendance and disciplinary records, extra-curricular activities of students are recorded in the server and can be traced over a period of no less than 15 years. Students' academic results can be processed and report cards generated after each test and examination. Teaching staff deployment school's financial management can be carried out through this system. In short, WEBSAMS facilitates the school in management to achieve higher efficiency and a better quality.

Duties

  1. To maintain the WEBSAMS network, server, workstations and resources in good working conditions
  2. To prepare files and documents required by EDB and to maintain communication with HKEA, STIM & EDB
  3. To maintain student information, staff information and account management
  4. To handle daily work such as taking attendance, students' disciplinary records, staff deployment, timetabling, report card printing using WEBSAMS
  5. To assist teachers, office staff and section heads such as ECS, DS in using WEBSAMS and to explore the use of different modules to serve the needs of various sections.
  6. To develop database programs when no similar function exists in WEBSAMS to match with the development of individual departments and sections whenever necessary.
  7. To hold workshops for teachers and to teach clerical staff how to use WEBSAMS
  8. To extract information from the WEBSAMS system and to use them internally.
  9. To assist subject panels to make use of available assessment information to improve the effectiveness of learning and teaching.
