Objectives

  1. Ensure the non-academic development of students aligns with the school mission ,vision and needs of students
  2. Adopt a whole school approach to formulate programmes to cater to students' needs
  3. Ensure general and specific developmental needs of students have been catered to
  4. Encourage students to reflect on and take charge of their own non-academic development
  5. Rally parental support for students' whole person development
  6. Provide timely and appropriate rewards for students' achievements

Duties:

1. Oversee and coordinate the services of the five pastoral care sections Identify students’ needs and problems and reflect them to the school.
Provide guidelines for the formulation of section program plans
Ensure program plans align with school’s directions
Conduct regular meetings to review program plans & services provided
2. APASO Surveys Conduct and analyze the APASO survey to identify the needs and problems of students
3. Documentations Collect and monitor the program plans and reports of the 5 sections
4. Supervise Form Coordination Committee Enhance team spirit and develop a caring culture at class level
Identify students’ problems at different levels & strengthen support network among peers and within classroom
Hold consultation conferences with DS, GS and social workers to explore and agree on effective measures to alleviate problems
5. Mission Kaleidoscope Promote the MK award scheme to the junior form students to ensure a balanced personal development
6. Leadership Training Overall coordination and implementation of student leadership training programs for students
Provide information and mentorship on external student development programs
Explore external resources for students to join development programs, if necessary
7. F1 Adaptation Coordinate with GS, CS and MCES to implement programs to ease the adaptation of F.1 to secondary education
8. PATHS Coordinate the implementation of PATHS in F2
9. School Function Conduct the Student-Teacher Conference to foster better understanding and relationships between Form Teachers and students
