Duties

1. School Maintenance Ensure the school buildings; furniture and equipment (except IT equipment and Lab equipment) are in good condition. Apply for and supervise major repair, emergency repair and minor repair if necessary. Keep records of furniture and equipment and maintenances.
2. AV Aids Provide AV aids for teaching and school activities, e.g. video recording, mic, P.A. system. Maintain the equipment in good order.
3. Supply of Resources Provide resources if necessary, e.g. exercise books and furniture.
4. Supervision of Janitors Arrange duties and supervise janitors’ work performances

School Campus Improvement Works

Major works completed by our Section in the past few years include:

  1. Students' desks, chairs, teachers' desks, Venetian blinds, doors, air-conditioners and exhaust fans of most of the classrooms were replaced.
  2. Plastic floor tiles were replaced in all special rooms and most of the classrooms.
  3. Aluminium-framed windows were replaced in all the classrooms of the Main Building and Lam Hui Mun Yan Memorial Building.
  4. The Hall was furnished with new teakwood floor tiles, new lighting facilities and aluminium doors. New AV facilities were also installed.
  5. Floor tiles of the corridors and stairs in the Main Building and Lam Hui Mung Yan Memorial Building were made anti-slippery.
  6. A Student Activity Centre on the 2/F, a Multi-media Learning Centre on the 3/F, a new Staff Room and Staff Common Room on the 4/F, and the Lecture Theatre on the 5/F were housed in the new SIP wing of our school. Cupboards and lockers were installed.
  7. A lift was installed in the SIP wing for the use of teachers, guests and students with physical disabilities or special needs.
  8. The patio was revamped. Tables and chairs were provided to create more recreational space for our students.
  9. Floor tiles were made anti-slippery at the covered playground and more tables and chairs were provided for students' use.
  10. More tables and chairs were provided in the School Garden, with canopies installed above those next to the Hall and the rest equipped with umbrellas.
  11. The ground surface of the playground was replaced. A surrounding protective net was installed to guarantee students' safety in the covered playground.
  12. Water basins and soap dispensers were installed at the school entrance. Tissue paper was provided.
  13. Drinking fountains were replaced with distillators renewed every year.
  14. Sponsored by the Parent-Teacher Association, the Medical Room was renovated to house one adjustable bed, a wheel-chair, a screen shield and a storage cupboard, etc.
  15. Students' washrooms were renovated, with new ventilation fans, soap dispensers and tissue dispensers.
