Duties
| 1. Curriculum planning |
1.1 ensure curricula align with education development, school vision, school goals & major concerns
1.2 ensure curricula cater to students’ learning needs
1.3 tackle learner diversity through curriculum tailoring and diverse teaching strategies
1.4 plan incorporation of generic skills, study skills in subject curricula
1.5 promote reading in subject curricula
1.6 strengthen collaboration across KLAs & subject panels
1.7 oversee the implementation of NSS
1.8 review NSS subject combination
1.9 explore professional exchange opportunities with other schools
1.10 use relevant data to conduct evaluation and to inform planning
(P6 admission, F1 attainment test, TSA, value-addedness and HKAL) |
| 2. Curriculum Implementation |
2.1 monitor the implementation of school curricula at subject levels
(program plans, minutes, interim reports and annual reports)
2.2 monitor the effectiveness of curriculum implementation
(at subject levels, subject heads’ meetings)
2.3 set up Homework Policy
2.3 coordinate the collaboration among KLAs and subject panels (LWL activities, across-subject projects)
2.4 plan & organize Academic Week/Subject Week |
| 3. Performance Assessment |
3.1 develop Assessment for Learning Policy
3.2 monitor Assessment Policy (70% pass rate; absence, latecomers, cheating)
3.3 monitor and explore different modes of assessment
3.4 coordinate school based assessment of NSS
3.5 ensure assessment covers knowledge, skills and attitude (test ,exam, CA) |

4.1 Oversee Streaming Policy
4.2 Arrange shortlists for remedial and enhancement classes |
